When life gives you lemons......

Two ingredients. Zero Waste.

That pretty much sums up our brand new, limited supply, but super tasty Lemon Syrup.

We’re in the business of keeping it simple and natural here at West of Dingle. It’s always been our mantra when creating our sea salt flavours.

However, we noticed that the production of our Lemon & Rosemary Sea Salt was leaving behind a lot of leftover lemons. Not good!

After toying with a few ideas initially about how to best use the lemon juice, we landed on what we believed was our best idea. As the age-old saying goes, “when life gives you lemons… make your own brand Lemon Syrup!” So we did!

Developing our own Lemon Syrup seemed like the perfect solution to our waste issue. Rather than go down the road of having to add more ingredients and generate more waste, we kept it to two simple natural ingredients; lemon and sugar.

We love the versatility of this product and the fact that it offers something for both kids and adults to enjoy. It’s an ideal accompaniment to a variety of food and drinks, adding flavour and versatility to your recipes. It packs a major punch drizzled over ice-cream and pancakes or mix it up with soda water and ice for an ultra-refreshing lemonade.

There are no preservatives or nasties to this one-of-a-kind new product, but it still has the yummy flavour you can add to pretty much anything.

Tangy, zesty and packed with lemony goodness. It puts the zing in everything!

Because we only produce it when we are making our Lemon & Rosemary Sea Salt, it's a small batch product. We can only make 500 bottles per year so there’s a very limited availability. So be quick if you want to get your hands (and taste buds) around this liquid gold!

It only took us three years to come up with the idea. 😊
